Breathe deep is an affective respiratory support tincture. This formulation uses expectorant herbs to help clear up the lungs, open airways and allow you to breathe deep. This is a unique formulation that I learned in Greece. While visiting a local herbalist I had mentioned that my son had a dry cough. Over the next two days my son 11 at the time used this formulation. The results were amazing. It has become a permanent part of my home apothecary regiment.
Ingredients: Elecampane root, goldenseal root, echinacea root, rosemary leaf, distilled water, and vegetable glycerin
Elecampane root - Elecampane is used for lung diseases including asthma, bronchitis, and whooping cough. It is also used to prevent coughing, especially coughing caused by tuberculosis; and as an expectorant to help loosen phlegm, so it can be coughed up more easily.
Goldenseal root - Goldenseal (Hydrastis Canadensis), also known as the orange root, yellow root, or yellow puccoon, is a perennial herb belonging to the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. Today’s traditional uses of goldenseal have broadened to include the natural treatment and prevention of colds, respiratory tract infections, allergies, eye infections, digestive issues, canker sores, vaginitis, urinary tract infections, and even cancer.
Echinacea root - Echinacea root (Echinacea purpurea) is commonly referred to as purple coneflower due to its prominent seed cone and purple flower petals. Echinacea has been used for virus infections such as the common cold and flu. It is used to strengthen the immune system. It has also been used for returning vaginal fungal infections ("yeast infections") along with antifungal products applied to the vaginal area.
Rosemary leaf- Rosemary is a member of the mint family Lamiaceae, along with many other herbs, such as oregano, thyme, basil, and lavender. Rosemary and sage are classic herbs for colds and sore throats. Both are known for their antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Rosemary is said to stimulate the circulatory system and thus is thought to encourage blood flow to the brain to relieve headaches.
