This is my best selling and one of my most effective tonics, supporting the relief of anxiety. There is a sense of constriction and tension inhibiting blood flow and proper digestion when one feels overwhelmed with anxiety. This blend helps remove that tightness from the core and neck. It is also an adaptation tonic that aids in being able to face the triggers of anxiety. There is an herbal action in herbalism called a "nervine." A nervine supports the nervous system helping soothe one's excesses without depressing the system while strengthening the nervous system.
This formula consists of 100% organic and wildcrafted herbs extracted in alcohol as a tincture:
Ingredients: Motherwort, Holy Basil, Catnip, Lemon Balm, Blue Vervain, Milky Oats, Brahmi, Distilled water, and vegetable glycerides.
Motherwort - Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is an herb in the mint family. Motherwort is used for heart conditions, including heart failure, irregular heartbeat, fast heartbeat, and heart symptoms due to anxiety. It is also used for the absence of menstrual periods, intestinal gas (flatulence), an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).
Holy Basil -Holy basil, otherwise known as tulsi in Hindu, is known for its therapeutic power when it comes to maintaining homeostasis and fighting the effects of stress. The tulsi plant has a rich history dating back 3,000 years ago to ancient India, as it’s long been considered a medicinal herb and sacred plant in Ayurvedic medicine. Researchers describe holy basil as a natural protector of organs and tissues, defending against chemical stress caused by factors like industrial pollutants, heavy metals, physical stress from prolonged physical exertion, ischemia, physical restraint, and exposure to cold and excessive noise.
Lemon Balm- The perennial lemon balm plant is a member of the mint family. Known officially as Melissa officinalis, it is sometimes referred to as common balm or balm mint. A few written works praise the lemon balm plant for its mood-lightening effects, such as Persian writer and thinker Avicenna, who referred to it as that which “maketh the heart merry and joyful.” Lemon Balm fights anxiety and improves mood, concentration, and sleep.
Catnip-Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is an herb belonging to the mint (Lamiaceae) family that grows in North America as well as Europe. Other names for the herb include catmint, catwort, and field balm. Catnip contains nepetalactone, which is similar to the valepotriates found in a commonly used herbal sedative, valerian. This can improve relaxation, which may boost mood and reduce anxiety, restlessness, and nervousness.
Blue Vervain-Vervain belongs to the plant family Verbenaceae, not to be confused with lemon verbena. The vervain plant is a lesser-known herbal remedy, but it has a lengthy history of medicinal use when it comes to a variety of systems in the body. In traditional herbal medicine, it has been used to treat headaches, insomnia, depression, anxiety, kidney stones, gout, jaundice, and more. It also has been used to improve lactation for nursing mothers and as a natural treatment for painful menstruation.
Milky Oats-Milky oats offer a wealth of nutrients like B-complex, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. Because of this, they help rejuvenate overworked people, like new parents and people with stressful jobs. Milky oats ease physical and mental exhaustion.
Brahmi- Bacopa monnieri, also called Brahmi, water hyssop, thyme-leaved gratiola, and herb of grace, is a staple plant in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Brahmi is used for Alzheimer's disease, improving memory, anxiety, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), allergic conditions, irritable bowel syndrome, and as a general tonic to fight stress.
